Why We Recommend HP
Everyone has favourites. Whether it’s a sporting team, cuisine, holiday destination or film, we’ve all got favourites. And it’s no different in the world of business. We all have partners and other companies that we recommend and love to work with.
For us, we love to recommend HP. Since October 1997 MCS has been an established Gold Partner for HP and its enabled us to deliver great products and a great outcome for our clients over the past 23 years.
Sometimes people ask, why though?
When it comes down to it, there’s really four main reasons why we recommend HP.
1. A portfolio of devices for every use case
In decades past, organisations across the globe operated with very linear end-user device strategies. That is, they tended to operate on a one-size-fits-all approach, which at the time was fine for many organisations. But as time has passed and technology and markets have advanced, the needs of the user have diversified dramatically. Nowadays it’s not unique to see a company with a seat-size of 40 have five or six different end-user personas, with all of them requiring different devices to suit their needs and work optimally.
HP has always had a very comprehensive portfolio of devices and it rings truer today than ever before.
2. Reliability of product
There’s nothing more frustrating than purchasing a device and then through some ill-fated series of events it breaks or becomes faulty during its projected life span. HP undertakes a series of what they call MIL-STD-810G testing procedures on all their business-grade devices. In layman’s terms, these are military grade tests to assess the durability of their products across particular field settings in which they could be used. These tests include:
- Physical shock
- Sand and dust resistance
- High and low temperature
- Thermal shock
As a result of these tests, our customers can purchase rest-assured that the device is tried and tested across a host of environmental circumstances that could cause stress to the device.
3. Comprehensive security capabilities
We know you’ve heard the narrative around cyber security by now. The threat landscape is more sophisticated, elaborate, and far-reaching than ever, and there’s little sign of it slowing down. Cyber security is seriously big business. In fact, last time we checked cybercrime equates for roughly 31% of all economic crime. And what element of your business do you think is most prone to attack? If you just muttered ‘user devices’ inside your head than congratulations, you nailed it. With so many endpoint devices, they’re very much your first line of defence against potential cyber-attacks.
HP Elite PCs powered by 10th Generation Intel® Core® processors are designed with the modern threat landscape front and centre. HP implement hardware-enforced security features that elevate your device security posture above that of one simply powered by an anti-virus solution. These features such as HP Sure Sense and HP Sure Click work to help protect, identify and mediate cyber attacks before they impact your bottom line.
4. HP’s serviceability and customer support
This is a big one. We’ve all found ourselves stuck in the seemingly endless cycle of hold cues when trying to rectify something through a customer service line, and after several pain-staking hours you’re still no closer to an answer than you were at the start. That’s just not the case with HP. Customers can log a service call and receive a reasonable response withing a reasonable timeframe. Not only that, but the team at HP also ask productive questions that benefit you, the customer. Questions like “Where are you located?”, “How many of this type of device are you currently using?” and “Have you had the same issue with any of the others?”.
It’s this kind of customer support that drives our recommendations with customers because it’s advantageous for all parties.
